What comes to your mind when you hear the word "Thanksgiving "?

Thanksgiving is not celebrated in my part of the world. People know of it through movies and other ways of Global influence. I had opportunity to stay in few countries for a considerable period of time. During our stay in the US for more than a decade, I got opportunities to make friends who celebrated Thanksgiving. And was fortunate enough to be invited for a Thanksgiving dinner by a colleague who meant more than a co-worker.

Thanksgiving is a much awaited time of the year and a very popular celebration in parts of world that celebrate it. Turkey, a well laid feast, long weekend, time with loved ones, feeling grateful and showing gratitude, carrying family legacy of some traditional recipes, some rituals....there is a long list of things and sentiments associated with the festival.
What's the first thing that pops up jn your mind when you hear "Thanksgiving "?

The first thing that pops in my head is food. Big turkey, stuffing and everyone is eating together. Even though we don't celebrate it here , the whole vibe just reminds me of family gatherings during Christmas. Plenty of food, gist, laughter and of course those American movies where everybody would argue, then still sit and eat together. That’s what I picture when I hear someone talk about Thanksgiving.
