Should we be worried about how fast our forums are growing?

I have noticed a lot lately that some people tend to panic when their forums do not grow at a pace they feel they should be doing, or they feel that others will be talking about them because of how slow their forums grow.

Should we be worried about how fast our forums are growing? Do you worry?

I'm not too worried about Planet Discussions. It isn't even two months old and the current stats: Total posts 3408 • Total topics 605 • Total members 75

I do know that if I don't keep working on it that hard work will be for nothing though.

This is exactly my thoughts. My forums can grow slow but I will always work hard on them

I ain't worried lol. My forum's been around in one way or another since 2009. Should it be larger by now? Sure, but i ain't too worried about how it's growing tbh.

One of the best forums I'm on only has a handful of members posting regularly. That is not a problem because it has a dynamic that works.

Anything that grows organically takes time to grow. I don't have a forum of my own. But I am on many of them. Each one has their own journey and growth story. I have seen that some had a quick rise and then steep fall too. Ones that are sustaining for decades now are the ones that grew organically and invested in building a community
