More than 80 buffaloes drown in Namibia after falling off cliff

According to Namibia's environment and tourism department, over 80 buffaloes died after stomping on one another and drowning in a river.

According to the statement, the buffaloes "fell from a deep cliff" into the Chobe River on the Namibian side of the border while being pursued by lions in neighboring Botswana. Similar situations have already resulted in the death of hundreds of buffaloes.

In one of the worst incidents, almost 400 buffaloes died in 2018 after they fell into the river that runs through Chobe National Park in Botswana, a popular tourist destination noted for its enormous population of giraffes, buffaloes, and elephants.

That story is quite painful. I saw the pictures online and it was heartbreaking. Imagine that number of buffaloes that is jpust gone like that. Nature can be cruel sometimes. Some say maybe they panicked or something scared them, but it’s still sad a thing we never wished for. That reminds me of when flood carried some goats away near my area, it was very painful because goats are very costly now. Plus, those animals are part of the balance of nature. It's just sad to see that happens.
