How much do you trust on the posts on the social media?

These days we see lots of things happening in the world, in social media. Sometimes the things are so exaggerated that it's hard to believe. But there are people who easily believe whatever people post on social media. I don't believe everything on Facebook, especially. Do you easily believe the posts on Facebook?

Oh I don’t at all. Anytime I see any post or information on social media I always do my own due diligence to make sure that it is legit. I have experienced a lot of fake news and reports to know that I should not place complete trust on online information again.

I became a fan of FB many years ago, but that faded away when I tried to make business there. I was spending more time
screening scammers out than actually focusing on my own business.

Let alone now with the use of AI. It's a mess and it's just becoming worst by the minute.

I agree with you. I don't believe anything on Facebook until I have verified from other sources. Telegram is worse than Facebook; it is not moderated at all. I can't remember when last I used it.

There was a time when everyone was mad about orkut then came facebook and it became so popular that we used to spend hours on it but now it's losing its charm. I don't log in to FB these days. Most of the posts are fake and AI generated there or copy pasted.

To be honest, I do not trust social media anymore. A half of what we see there is exaggerated or simply created to initiate engagement or clicks. Almost everything is fake. But it is difficult to resist it. You scroll a few minutes and before you know it, an hour has passed. It's become an addiction to some many people, although you know that it is not everything real. I believe that social media is there to keep us informed, but it can be misleading when we lose sight of the fact.

I have zero trust on social networking posts because most of the times they are fake and posted to earn likes, reviews and money and every time I see something on social media, I like to confirm it through Google.

Honest answer? I don't trust anything i see on social media. I always try my best to verify every information i see there before making use of it.

@eLdavis that's what I also do. Every post there seem to so artificially made that they can be easily felt. I also try to investigate the post before trusting them.

@Ginger what to they do with the "likes". It is funny to read the comments. Many people use abusive language there, sometimes frustrating. I wonder why they are not deleted.

@Sanjeev It's not about likes, it's more about Views because this is how they make money and lately almost everyone has started to post videos and reels on social networking websites to earn.

I don't take anything I see seriously on social media unless it is confirmed and proven to be confirmed.

I know many people have been caught out with social media posts and even scammed too.

Like recently, one of my colleagues, who is not much of a fan of Facebook, was watching a video where a man was playing with the lion. He showed the video to me, and I told him that it is AI-generated, but he believed it to be a real video.

AI is getting way too realistic, and it is very worrying, especially when it can be believed so easily.

I will admit that I have been fooled by AI before, but I have also found ways to tell the difference now, too.

If there are any posts that I have suspicion or have doubts then I prefer to confirm that news from some other reliable source or from a news channel or Google search.

@Spooky Shortie it's not easy to find out the difference and that's why I also have been fooled by the AI created reels. I have been seen lots of such reels mostly on Facebook and Instagram and that's the reason I don't rely on them now.
