Do you play any sports?

Most of us would have played some or the other sports in our young age. Some would have liked it and developed an inclination and love for it. Others who are not much into physical activities as a natural part of their personality would have not. As we grow, many people from both these groups become a sports fan and follow their sports as audiences and fans. Slowly many get involved in dealing with obligations of life and stop playing it. Very few other than those who take it as a career continue to play sports.
I was a good athlete during my school times. I didn't go into that line professionally, but my love for physical activities continued. And even as adult, I continued playing badminton for recreation and exercises. When I get good enthusiastic group of people ( youngster who are my friend's Children or my daughters and their friends) and even some in my age group, we go for Kho kho. Those from India will know about Kho Kho. I play badminton a few times in a month and Kho Kho whenever I get a chance.
How about you? Do you play any physical games?

@Sanjeev. Sometimes we reach that number with all young and old counted together in a gathering. Well, it has become very occasional in recent times.
Badminton can be played regularly. Just for fun without any rules or net. We do that very often. And every now and then my husband books the Badminton court in our neighborhood. Two or three families go there and fully utilise the money that we pay.
You are right, children these days leave all extra curriculum activities once they reach High School. I am thankful that I didn't let my daughters do that. Even now they pursue their, music, dance and sports. My elder daughter was playing a interschool basketball tournament two days before her competitive exams in 12th. And till 10PM every night before exams, she hit the basketball court in our apartment to relax and not get too stressed with peers pressure. That was her way to deal with it.

Playing football with my friend has been a regular thing whenever I get a chance. We don't play to compete with one another, it is about fun and being active. We see each other during weekends and it is one of the rare occasions when everyone puts their phone away. It makes us feel like kids again, screaming, laughing, running until we are tired. I walk away feeling light even when I lose. There is something about sports that clears your head and makes people get along.

@uptrendfinancialsignal . Reading your post makes me feel so happy. It is one of the best thing to do in these times. In today's fast paced digital life, such choices are so meaningful and they make such precious moments and memories. I would love to find friends like that, I have few but they are not always free on weekends. Anyways, I try to stay away from gadgets and spend some quality time with my family and that includes playing some sports for fun. Those fun moments keep the child in us alive.

Nope never have as I have a brain condition that my doctors says I couldn't but I have always wanted to play soccer in High School.
I am sorry to know that you could not play soccer as you wished to in High school. Well, our health conditions can be limitations in few things. But we always find ways to take care of ourselves, stay happy and entertained. Take care.

Thanks! 🫂It was hard at first but I am used to it. Got to know what I can and can't do.
I am very happy at this moment. Thanks again. 🫂

I have played soccer since I was a child. Started playing in grade school. Made the school team all through grade school, high school and college. I was already thinking of going pro but I was always prone to tendon tears. That's why going pro never materialized. That notwithstanding, I still play soccer till now. I play local competitions and meets for a pay. I am a winger and can also play as a striker.

My favourite pastimes were football and table tennis. But these days, I only get engaged in them occasionally owing to my tight work schedule. Annually I participate in football matches organised by my old school association; it’s is a form of reunion and a way of bringing back the memories of the good old days.

@King Belieal . It's great to know that you too were so much involved in sports in your school and college times. Sorry to know about your tendon tear. Well, life always throws curveball and not all our dreams and aspirations get materialized. But happy to know that you still like the game and play it for enjoyment and recreation. I was also very active athlete. Now, I play sports for fun and exercise.
@Olusmart . Yes, with adulthood comes a lot of obligations and very little time at hand to pursue our hobbies and fun things. Well, that kind of reunion sounds fun. Happy to know that you actively participate in those reunions.
