Well, staying focused and productive throughout the day is something we all wish for. Staying focused becomes a challenge in this era of digital distractions. I make a to do list before going to bed for the next day. It has been my habit for years now, much before the digital era seeped in. I still write them with pen on a paper. This helps me stay focused and even motivated to achieve them. Without a to do list, I am lost like a headless chicken. I feel great when I am able to tick off many tasks on the list if not all. How about you? Do you make a to do list? Do you make a mental note or actually write them down?

I don't make a list but keep important works on priority. This is always a great idea to listen the things which you've to do so that you may not miss them out. Disciplined people always do this.

You are making a mental list and that is equally good. Earlier, I would make mental bores on some days and it used to work. Now I have so many things to manage and my memory sometimes dupes me. So, I prefer to write things down and check. It helps to stay on track

It happens with the age, I also forget things. The latest case is I was thinking of taking out the prints of form 16 from office to file income tax return but daily used to forget. Yesterday, I put an alarm in my mobile so that I may remember. I took out the prints and filled the return yesterday. There are many things which my boss tells me to do which I used to forget but now a days I write it on the paper and complete tasks on time.

@Sanjeev . It's happening with me too. I have a strong feeling that this kind of brain fogging has started happening to me post covid infection. It was very bad in the beginning. It has got better but not like what I had before covid. I was always complimented for my elephant's memory. Now, I am struggling with recalling simple things like movie's name, book's name etc.
I like to write it down. I enjoy striking them when one is done.

I do not, and never really have. Though I have thought about starting to list off my daily tasks, so that I can have a reason to push through them. I like to procrastinate from time to time, so I often leave things go. So if I did start doing a daily task list, it might help me get to my tasks much faster.

Yes and this makes it easy for me to get through the activities of the day seamlessly. When I cross over what I have achieved for the day I get a dopamine boost as well.

I don't, but I really should get into the habit of doing so, otherwise I end up finding myself trying to complete several different tasks at once and then I get myself confused and end up stepping away.

I do it sometimes, but it's most common when I am very busy, especially during the week. Jotting down my plans keeps me in totally control. I do not always do it but occasionally as I just go with the flow some days. However, when I actually go through the list, it is a good feeling when I check things off. It gives me an impression that I actually improved even if it's a minor tasks.🤣

@Bremaine . You can try it. Just make a to do list for few days to start with. And see if it helps improve your efficiency and productivity. It helps me. Actually I need a structure to stay productive and efficient. This helps me.
@Kennysplash . Just like me. I can relate to that. That dopamine effect is a motivator.
@Spooky Shortie . I can understand that. Having to many things can be overwhelming. And that can actually reduce productivity. Having a to do list can be good to stay streamlined.
@uptrendfinancialsignal . My husband does that. He does not make a to do list daily like I do. But, he does make it for a week or on days when he is very busy. And checking things off gives you a pleasure and sense of accomplishment.
