Do you buy second hand things?

I have seen people like to buy second-hand things as they are cheaper than new ones.

But I never like to buy second-hand items because I fear they may have defects and may not be as good as a new item in terms of quality.

But I prefer to buy second hand books because they are cheaper and are not updated every year.

Do you like to buy second-hand items?

That's what everyone does. If I have a budget I will go for a new branded thing and won't like to buy any second hand item. But sometimes the things which are to be used for short period of time can be bought second hand.

I buy them sometimes when I see that they are as good as new, and I get them from verified vendors and owners. There are times when I need the item urgently and I don’t have the funds for the new one.

Yes i completely agree here, especially in situations where it is more cheaper.

I don't really mind buying second hand things but it depends on what it is. In most cases, I don't buy second hand electronics. I prefer to buy something new but for books, furniture and cars, I might go for second hand because they are more affordable.

I have been known to buy second-hand things in the past, but I always buy them from trusted charity shops.

I have bought TVs, sofas, other kinds of furniture and even games and consoles in the past from charity shops second-hand, and have not had any issues at all.

If you go to trusted places that check what they are selling, you will find you can get some great deals.

Yes. If its good condition then why not save some money and get an item for cheaper.

I don't have the habit to buy second hand things and it's like a family tradition that we all follow. And for once I tried a second hand product but it didn't worked well

Because there is no guarantee of the product, so it's not easy for the people to trust them.

We have a shop here where you can buy defective products (having scratches/dents) that are sold at a lower price, but still my heart doesn't say to purchase those things. I have always tried to buy a brand-new item or not buy if I don't have a budget.

Sometimes I do, if I feel like the second hand product will serve me just fine. It is a good way for me to save money, because the second hand will be much cheaper than the new one.

If you are good at finding best deals and can find good quality second hand products that are in good condition then you can really save a lot of money.

That's true. If one can get a good deal, then it may be possible that one can save lots of money. I have seen people buying second hand mobile phones and saving lots of money.

I go thrifting pretty often, but I usually only buy electronics, collectibles, video games, movies, and albums. I'll also buy old stuff I had growing up, like old toys and such. I have looked at clothing before, but since I'm a bit on the heavier side, they rarely have clothes in my size anyway, so I mostly focus on the stuff I mentioned previously. Though I do like to look for clothes, because there are times where you can luck out and find a good set of clothes. But it's rare for me.

My elder brother bought a secondhand two-wheeler, and at that time it was good, but after a few months it started creating problems, due to which he repented for buying it, and since then he promised that he won't buy any secondhand item, and he never has.
