Halloween 2025 Do you answer the door to trick-or-treaters?

Each year, we always used to not answer the door for trick-or-treaters, as we were either out trick-or-treating with the kids or because we knew it was kids up to no good.

Now my kids are older, they enjoy answering the door and giving the kids who knock and are dressed up sweets.

Do you answer the door to trick-or-treaters?

Some years I do, some years I don't. We live ina lovely neighborhood, so a few years back I bought yummy chocolate and simple party gifts to give the kids from our block. My partner at first thought I got too much ( I was worried it wasn't gonna be enough) but it turned out to be just right.

Yeah, I usually do. In fact, I enjoy watching the little ones dressed up. Some of them are so creative! Last year I ran out of candy half-way into the night and I had to begin handing out cookies out of my own bag. The children did not mind at all, they only laughed and thanked me. It’s fun, to be honest.

Always love it when you get just the right amount. It's not very often I do, but there have been times I have done. All the more for my kids to have after the trick-or-treaters have stopped knocking is how I look at it :)

I do love how some kids are so understanding :) I feel most of the time, they don't mind what they receive, whether it be candy or cookies, they are just happy and having a lot of fun :)

I’d not lie, it's definitely part of the fun! I like seeing the costumes, especially the creative ones. Sometimes I even sneak a candy or two myself 😂. OMG, words cannot even express how much deep is that feeling.

Yeah, that's right! I always rather err on the side of "too many" because I know they won't go to waste. 😁
