Are you judged for your parenting style?

Each one has there own parenting style. And parents do their best to bring up their children in the best possible ways that they can afford to, the best in their knowledge and capacity. Our own upbringing and socio cultural influences have a major role to play in our parenting styles. Also, things change with socio economic developments in each generation. No matter what parenting style we choose, parenting mistakes are unavoidable. To err is human and parents are human. As long as we have a warm and loving bond in a relationship, mistakes have not damaged it.
It happens in every parents life that at some point we are judged by closed ones, be it friends and family. And at times, we are the ones that are at judging ends because we disapprove or disagree with others style.

Well, I haven't been criticized for my parenting style but I frequently talk about parenting styles with my siblings and cousins and we share our parenting journey. parenting is not something where the same method works for every one. Every child is special and every parents need to use unique approach

@Nomad. You have raised a valid point there. You might have the same parenting style as a basic core depending on your values and experience. But the way you imply it to your children will vary with different child of yours. Each child is different and has different needs. Your basic foundation for parenting might be same for all your children, but you strategies and tricks will vary with each child.

I don’t care whether I am judged or not, no one is going to tell me how I should raise my kids. I know what is best for them, so I will raise them the right way.

I am not married or have kids as yet so I am yet to experience anything like that but we can expect people to judge us looking at our parenting style

@Kennysplash . I am really impressed by your statement. Parenting is not easy and needs a lot of mental strength and agility. It is very important to stick to one's conviction while parenting.
@Ginger . You have a point there. Judgement cokes very easy and naturally. It's tough to totally avoid it. But one can always ignore and stick to their style if they think that they are doing right.

I am not a parent yet, so i do not have any parenting style at the moment and to be honest am not sure which parenting style i would use.

@eLdavis . It's more of a practical thing and you can't decide on it till you get to really experience it. Our parenting style depends on a lot of things including our own personality and the kind of children we have. I have seen parents using different styles with different children of their own. One trick doesn't work with the other as one child is different from the other.

I agree because we cannot stop anyone from making comments about our parenting style and if we are confident about our parenting style then we don't need to worry about others and what they think.
