Are songs of yesterday meaningful than today

Are songs of yesterday meaningful than today? Songs of yesterday often carry deeper emotions and stories, but today's songs can also be meaningful. Songs of yesterday often tell timeless stories with deep feelings. They can remind us of history and traditions. However, songs today reflect our current world and new ideas. Both old and new songs have meaningful messages. What matters is how the music touches your heart.

To be honest, I kinda agree with this because the old school songs carry deep meaning. . Songs from back in the day had real lyrics, emotion, and story unlike what we see now. The only thing I see now is just beats, with not deep lyrics. I still remember songs like “African Queen” by 2Baba. Nowadays, it’s mostly beat and vibe. I am not saying we don't have good songs today, but most do not carry depth. Sometimes I miss those days when musicians sang about love, hustle, and life.

The songs of yesterday make more sense than today's rubbish. No song from the last 35 years can be considered a classic in the same way as 'Yesterday' or 'Bridge Over Troubled Water'. The last classic was 'The Living Years'.

Indeed, what we have mostly today are rubbish songs, meaningless and full of overrated fantasies. I like to listen to the song Bridge Over Troubled Water. It is a very meaningful song about life, love, and survival.
