What's your philosophy on taking risks versus playing it safe in life?

So, what’s your take on taking risks versus playing it safe in life? Do you think stepping out of your comfort zone is worth it even if it’s scary? Or do you prefer to stick with what’s familiar to avoid potential failure? I’ve been thinking about it a lot lately sometimes risks pay off but other times playing it safe feels better. What’s your philosophy on this?

Taking risks is oxygen for my blood.
No risk-- no joy.

Playing safe is too boring for me. I can understand others like to have a safety net, nothing wrong with it, it's just not for me.

In as much as taking risks is great, especially when you are into business, but we also need to maintain a balance. You can’t be taking big risks every day, but you also can’t play it safe forever. Honestly, most of the good things I’ve achieved came from taking one risk or the other. If you are the type that is not willing to take any risk, I don't think you are going anywhere, even our life is risky too. But it's always good to calculate first. I don’t like blind jumps.
