The basis of forgiveness is the release of unpleasant feelings, thoughts, and energies associated with an injustice, perceived error, or previous hurt. It requires letting go of bitterness, rage, and the need for revenge or retaliation.

Forgiveness not only helps us overcome our emotional burdens and bad thoughts, but it also fosters personal development, empathy, and understanding, improves mental health and overall wellbeing, strengthens relationships with others, and fosters a sense of community.

Keep in mind that forgiveness is a process that may need for durability, support, and patience. It's a journey of letting go of negativity and embracing understanding, compassion, and peace of mind. I've always thought that forgiveness is a better method to find peace and satisfy oneself. How about you?

Forgiveness, I feel, is always a great feeling, especially if you are generally sorry for what you did that may have caused someone else distress. Whenever I am forgiven for something, it always feels as though a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders, as I always worry when I do something that upsets someone else, just how much it has affected them so that feeling when I know they accept my apology is amazing.

For me, forgiveness is letting go, yes it hurt me, but at the end of the day i chose to let go, not because i am weak or do not have hundred of ways to get back at the person who hurt me, but simply because i chose to remember the good that person once did and refused to bring my self low to their level to act like them. Forgiving to me is more about learning my lesson. I have forgiven you but i have also learnt a lesson, so i won't be making such mistakes again.
