For those who don't know, there was an independent wrestling event that happened this past Saturday. It was run by thee promotion KnokX, which happens to be owned and run by WWE Legend Rikishi. Anyway, before this event even happened, there was an altercation between one of the wrestlers and a guest, which happened to be MMA fighter Raja Jackson, the son of UFC legend Rampage Jackson.
Raja was streaming on his Kick channel during the altercation. What happened was Raja was hanging out with a bunch of wrestlers behind the scenes, one of the wrestlers, Syko Stu, came up to Raja and asked him if he knew who he was, and then Syko Stu strikes Raja in the head with a beer can, but it's likely a prop can, used by wrestlers. Syko Stu thought Raja was a worker, as in a wrestler. Raja didn't sell the hit and instead got into Stu's face.
The video shows the two eventually apologizing though, as other wrestlers come up explaining the situation, all seems good and they move on. But, later on during the actual show, Raja is given the go ahead to get a receipt, which in wrestling terms is like payback hit. If you hit a wrestler for real, they will often come back with a receipt for it. Raja was told he could do a takedown and I believe hit Syko Stu once, but instead Raja did a powerslam on him. After the slam, Raja lays in over 20 unprotected punches to this mans face and jaw.
It took forever for someone to get in and stop him too, because no one knew what to do in the situation. I heard he actually flatlined in the ring before being rushed to the hospital. But I hear he is in stable condition and is talking. But Raja on the other hand, may face some serious consequences for what he did.
