We suffer the extreme heat this week

After the series of storms in my country, extreme heat with a heat index of 38 degrees Celsius follows. It is not easy to go out as if the heat burns our skin. We also experienced a sweltering heat last summer 2024. The heat index reached 54 degrees Celsius, so all classes were converted to online modalities. And because of that experience, President Marcos changed the closing of schools, instead of August 1st week, it was moved 2nd week of March. Summer here starts from March to July. But tertiary levels at universities end classes in August. Though we are used to this climate, we also crave cool days. Also, electric bills will soar during a long hot summer.

Thank you, my friend. I thought there was no winter in India. I experienced a chilly morning when I visited Auckland. I don't like it, it seems hard for me to breathe if it's so cold. I like a normal climate.

This heat is something ! When I woke up today it already seemed like the sun was blazing inside my room. Honestly I’m just doing my best to cope by drinking lots of water. The hardest thing is the commute, the heat out there is so intense. It’s like stepping into a furnace.

It seems we have the same climate. We have also suffered heat here for almost two weeks now. The heat is sweltering, and we do not like to stay outside from 9 in the morning up to 3 in the afternoon. We are longing for normal rain.

I don't enjoy Winters because you really need to dress properly otherwise you'll be uncomfortable because of the chilly weather plus it gets dark so soon

You will not look gorgeous during winter. You have to wear thick jackets and thick vests, wear gloves and eye glasses to protect the eyes from an icy day. You'll look bulky .
