Another weekend is here. In this fast paced life, we look forward to weekends as a break and to rejuvenate ourselves. People plan a lot of things for weekends. Friends outing, party, movies, get together, travel...there is a long list and each one has their own choices. What's yours? How you like to spend your weekends?
I like to stay home, keep it lazy, do the bare minimum and watch some good movies or show. I also enjoy having family get together and do some outdoor activities like trekking, swimming, playing badminton etc with my husband and daughters.

I only get Sunday as a weekend. Most of my time on Sundays goes to doing rest. I wake up late in the morning and then take a nap in the afternoon or go with my wife for grocery shopping and then go for a family dinner outside or watch a movie at home and order dinner online at home.

@Sanjeev . Having only one day off in a week will make it even more precious. What you do for your Sunday sounds pretty good and very much what a family man would do. After six days of work, you need enough rest. Long sleeping hours and naps in the afternoon sound good. And ordering dinner from outside is thoughtful. Not only you get to enjoy it at home with your family, it also gives a weekly break to the person who cooks.
I take a power nap of 20 to 40 minutes on weekdays. On weekends I take a longer one, sometimes even 2 hours if my body demands. That is actually rejuvenating.

I spend the early morning working around the house, cleaning and doing the laundry. Then in the evening I go out to have fun with my friends. I make sure I do not do anything related to work on weekends as they are solely for my own personal enjoyment.

@Kennysplash . That sounds good. And it is so impressive that you don't do any work related things on weekends. That should be the practice to have better personal enjoyment and also to create a work life balance. Even I try to do that. But being an educator, I have to plan certain things for the coming week on weekends. I make sure that I finish them fast and don't let it interfere with my rest and family time on the weekends.

I like to spend my weekend doing things I wouldn't normally do during the working week :)

I have found that taking my weekends and hanging out on forums, playing video games or even heading out for a walk with my family really does help with my mental health and it also helps to clear my head too :)

I love spending the weekend with my daughter because she's the most important thing in my life. It is only once in a while that I normally hang out with my friends and which if it is possible to take my daughter along, I would do it.

As a retiree, every day is a weekend! Seriously, I spend Saturday nights drinking alcohol (the only time I drink) and watching Tomas Ledin videos. Bed at 3 am, rise late on Sundays.
