I have seen a dam opening but the ones. I have never seen big dams being opened for real, I have seen them on TV though
No I have never seen the dam opening but I wish I may be able to witness it in the future.
Yes, I have seen a dam opening in real and on TV. Few years back, we happened to visit Tungabhadra river and the dam there on our way to our vacation spot. We were lucky to be there at the time when they opened the dam. We saw it from a safe distance over the bridge. It was so mesmerizing.

Yes, I’ve seen one before. I think it's the Oyan Dam somewhere in Ogun State. I remember that day clearly, the force of the water rushing out was huge. To be honest, It’s both beautiful and scary at the same time. I stood far because the sound alone can make you panic especially if you have phobia for water. 
That is when I know that nature is really strong. It made me appreciate how much power we take for granted. I’d honestly love to visit a bigger dam someday, maybe Kainji or even the ones outside my country.

@uptrendfinancialsignal . I can totally agree there with you. The look is majestic and the sound is a perfect display of strength that nature has. I too enjoyed it from a safe distance. I am not very confident about my swimming skills, it is one at basic level. I try to enjoy mighty water bodies from a safe distance. I am scared.
