The way I feel immersed in the game determines whether I will finish it or not. There are some games that I did not really enjoy after starting them, so I don’t waste time to go along with them.
But if it’s one that I am really enjoying, I make sure I play it to the very end.
I do not finish every game I start, in fact there is a lot of games that I started in the past, and never finished them. Cyberpunk 2077 is one that comes to mind. I was probably half the way through, but quit after a while and then they required that the game be played on an SSD and I didn't have enough space, so instead just deleted it. I'll eventually finish it later though.
But, there are many other games I have gone through somewhat and stopped playing for whatever reason and never got back to it. But, there are some games I will revisit.
