In one of the bloodiest shootings in Jerusalem in recent years, Palestinian attackers have killed six Israelis and injured eight more. According to Israeli police, "two terrorists arrived in a vehicle" and started shooting at a bus stop at Ramot Junction, which is located on the northern outskirts of the city. It further stated that a citizen and an off-duty military returned fire, "neutralizing" the attackers.

The deceased were identified by Israeli media as a 60-year-old woman and five males, ages 25 to 79. Two of the injured were in critical condition, according to local hospitals. Hamas hailed the attack, but no armed organizations immediately made a claim.
