I can't talk first hand on what being financially rich feels like but if you'd still like my two cents, here they are:

Depression is not necessarily something that appeals to logic. I remember that part of my depressed state was constantly beating myself up because compared to other people I was in a very privileged position. I had friends and family that cared about me. I could understand that, but wasn't something that gave me comfort, it was something that made me feel WORSE. It was a self loathing cycle. The more I realised the more I hated myself for feeling the way I did "for no reason".

Now back to having all the money you could need, without taking in account that there is still sickness that are deadly and have no cure as potential candidates, I think the depression could come because of similar insecurities. While money gives you a way to alleviate a lot of the pressures to get by (don't have to worry for bills and stuff) and you can get the best professional help you ever wanted, have balanced diet and stuff... We're still social creatures and we value connection.

Many of us can cherry pick how 'easy' the beautiful and/rich people have it, yet we also hear how that can make said people find it hard to trust other people to be as close to them and treating them the way they do for themselves and not just because they want a slice of the pie. So, I am assuming that a rich person that doesn't have people that they can truly be vulnerable with can really feel isolated. Not to mention all the bad experiences of opening with someone just to find out they were trying to use them. I am sure that several similar experiences would wear a person down.

It might even be worse if you become rich later in life, because the shock of how everybody treats you when they learn you are rich can give you whiplash; and the taxes and the places/clothes/food etc you didn't have access to before, but here you are now affording a single frivolous meal/piece of cloth/accessory/etc that costs so much more than what you could do in a normal 9-5 job, and that is probably just one in many things you will get can really mess with your head.

I don't agree that rich people cannot go into depression. There may be many reasons for it, not only money. It may be because of relationships, and most of the rich people don't have them; they are mostly alone because most of them are working alcoholics.

Money isn't the answer to everything. If you're rich but no true friends then that'll isolate someone.

I'm not talking about 'friends' who are there solely because the person is rich.

Even if a person has all the money, they still may not have peace of mind. Sometimes pressure can come in and loneliness can creep in from nowhere. Rich people are stressed too, sometimes they just can't share it because of their status.

The rich also cry I guess. People should understand that the presence of money doesn't always mean the absence of problems. There's a lot of problems out there that money can't solve.

Yes, rich people also cry, but what I feel is they are more money-minded, and sometimes they make relations with the people just for the sake of money, and at the end they are alone when they need someone. I have seen many rich people living the same life.

I do not know of a person in my place suffering from depression. maye, if I conduct research, I could gather data and findings about the possible patients of depression in the city where I live. I have not experienced depression in my life. I always pray and talk to God minute to minute,

Trust me when I say it there are people close to you who are actually suffering from depression. The fact that they are not telling you does not mean they are not facing it. As a matter of fact, if you are observant enough you will notice the signs.

For most of them, the struggle they go through just to get to where they are now, the sacrifices they make alone the way often make some of them feel alone and before you know it, depression breaks in.

I don't have time to interfere with other people's concern. I don't have time for that. I am busy at work and business. I only have a very few time for myself. Anyway depression could be mild and severe and it's a case to case situation. If there's someone depressed who would approach me, I will surely share that depressive person challenging words. Changing his or her mindset helps cure their depression a little bit.

Those who suffer a severe depression need to talk to their parents close friends or to a pet like dog. If you have a pet dog, life is different when there's trouble. A dog can feel and comfort a depressed person. Those who are depressed might have tolerated their negative thoughts. They need to fight for it.

Having money does not mean that one will not be depressed, that idea is a wrong take. In fact rich people are more likely to be depressed because what they are feeling is something money cannot solve for them. So they feel it harder than the poor ones.

The Rich folks have their own challenges. Their challenges does not include daily expenses or savings but to maintain their lifestyle and match with even rich people

Some rich people suffer depression because of some reasons like betrayal by a spouse, weak heart, weak disposition, and some of them cannot face their own weaknesses.
