Village or city life?

I was born in the city and have never lived in a village, although my father used to live in a village, so we have a house there, and sometimes we used to visit. What I like about my village is the fresh air and plenty of trees, no traffic, and no fast life.

I always wish I may be able to spend my life in a village after my retirement from my job. What do you like, city or village life?

Honestly, I’ve lived in both, and each has its own vibe. Village life is peaceful, no noise, fresh food straight from the farm, but the boredom there is real. No constant light, and network fluctuate every now and then. City life on the other hand, is very stressful, traffic, bills, noise, but at least there’s opportunity and fun spots. Personally, I kinda prefer city life, maybe because I enjoy hanging out after work. But whenever I visit the village during Christmas, that calm feeling always reminds me why living a simple life can make you enjoy yourself better.

When I was a child, my family lived in our ancestral home. My father was a military official, and my mom was a medical doctor assigned to the municipal clinic, so my father supported my mom to live in the province temporarily. I felt the cool air, but it lasted only for two years, and after that, we have been living permanently in the city. I prefer to live in the city rather than in the province. There are no fast food centers and far from malls.
