It is said that marrying or being in relationship with your best friend is blessing. Well, not everyone is so lucky to get that kind of blessing..but then you can always be friendly with your spouse or partner. If not the best friend, he/she can be a very close friend. If friendship is there in the relationship, it becomes very easy and smooth. There are less inhibitions and more closeness. Open communication thrives. Mutual respect is there also you respect each other's private space and boundaries. This all makes your relationship thrive.

I would say that I have a friendly relationship with my partner and would also go as far as to say that we are best friends :)

We tell each other everything and we are always there for one another too, supporting one another as best we can :)
 
@Shortie . I am glad to know that. I can relate to that. I didn't marry my best friend. I married him after we were very good friends. And now without any doubt, I can say that he is my best friend and the most reliable one. Out of all the things that I value our relationship for, friendship is the topmost. We don't fear judgement and can pour our heart out to each other.
 
If I have a partner they will definitely be my best friend. That is why I am not a fan of my partner having such close friends, I mean what are we now doing? I want to be everything to the person I am with, no exceptions. If we will be living together and doing life together, then we should be able to be everything we need to one another.
 
Yes, I have a friendly relationship with my wife, and we share almost everything with each other. We argue, we fight, but after a few minutes, we again become friends. It's necessary to have a friendly relationship with your spouse; otherwise, you won't feel homely at home.
 
Yeah, my partner is pretty much my best friend. We gist, argue, and still end up laughing like nothing happened. That’s one thing I really value. To be honest, not every day is rosy, but that friendship part makes things a lot easier. I think that’s what keeps us growing strong , honestly.
