Yes, I am.I completed my school in 1993. It's been 32 years since we left, but we are still in contact. We have made a WhatsApp group where we talk to each other. We know we all are busy in our lives, so it won't be possible to meet in real life, but we have tried to talk to each other in this group for the last 7-8 years. It was difficult to get the contact numbers of all the friends because in our time we had no mobile phones, so through various social sites we got the phone numbers of friends and added them to the group.What about you? Are you still in contact with your school friends?
 
Yeah, a few of them. Most of us are scattered everywhere. Work, marriage, relocation and life responsibilities have creep in. But I’ve got two I still gist with from time to time. It’s funny when we remember those school days, like punishments, crushes, and school fights. The nostalgia is heartwarming.
 
Unfortunately, I'm no longer in communication with anyone from my high school. I still have some of them in my contact and as friends on social media platforms but we no longer talk.

This is not with you only; most of us are not in contact with our school friends but are only in contact on social sites. It's because of the business in our lives, but that's sad because I believe school friends are the real friends in our lives.
 
I am still in contact with many of my high-school friends, and we often still talk when we see each other or even over messages.

I remember back quite a few years ago now, we did a reunion to celebrate 12 years of leaving school :) it is always good to have those catch-ups :)
 
I am in touch with almost everyone from the batch through social media platforms, WhatsApp groups etc. But not something on personal level. Very limited interactions more like Wishing them formally on birthdays, anniversary, some achievements etc.
I am very close to my college friends and we do meet frequently whenever possible.
 
Many in my closed circle say that nothing can replace school friends or childhood friends. Even my husband has the same opinion. I differ from them. Maybe because I changed a few schools due to relocation and shifting. My husband stayed in the same school from Kindergarten to High school. He has a huge group and they are very close. The same is true with his college friends. He is lucky that way. I am in touch with my school friends but not very close. I stayed on the same college campus for 5 years and I have very close friends from my college.
 
@Sanjeev. That's a long time in one school..and for sure you would have developed close friendship. I thought that staying in hostel gives more opportunities to develop closer relationship. I am sorry thar you didn't get good people in college. I was lucky that way. I had good people around me in both school and college. But since we kept moving in school, we could not develop a deeper bond. My college time was the best one in life. I met people who became Friends for life. My husband is lucky. He has close ones from both school and college.
 
I think high school was where I was adopted by a few groups. They knew each other but they didn't mingle unless one of their friend was, haha. Just different tastes. As we grew up sadly the wedge between some of them became irreconcilable, but they still are fine with me.

Before moving out of Mexico I would try to meet one group almost weekly for coffee. Then there was another group that would also invite to eat together or go to a chill pub. Then it took me a decade before I could go back to Mexico, but I was happy most of them contacted me and we arranged to meet on different days. From that meeting I got added to two WhatsApp groups, one of them being the close friends I used to sit with at the back of the classroom, hahah. They still make a point of meet once a month and I think that's awesome. I get to see their pictures and laugh at their memes, they try to include me although most times I feel like an spectator watching their lives from so far away but it makes me happy seeing their pictures and the appreciation they have for each other.

Other than them I have one or two people I still keep in contact with. Sometimes one or two other people try to contact me but no one as often as this one and the one from uni.
 
@uptrendfinancialsignal . Yes, that's the best phase. When you live in present, full of hopes, dreams and imagination. And no adulting stress.
@Sanjeev . I agree there. I wish I could be in one school for long time. Anyways, I was lucky to find some great friends later. My school days was also very enjoyable. Whichever school I went to, I had good number of friends to have a good time. I enjoyed every single day. Reunions are fun. Enjoy your next one!
