Do you receive bonuses from your employer every Christmas?

I have some doubts if your employer gives you bonus during Christmas. It's called Christmas bonus. At the university where I work every June and December, we receive bonuses. The June bonus is called mid year bonus . It's equivalent to a one- month salary. In December, we receive Christmas bonus, 13th month pay, and differential. I receive all in December more or less $ 3,000.The university where I work is a university owned by the national government which is why, it has a lot of bonuses good to save and invest.

My brother an OFW in KSA told me they don't have a bonus even the UK. My nurses nieces in the UK also told there's no bonus. What about in your country?

Unfortunately am not working under anyone so I don't get any bonus. Then again i do buy cake for myself during Christmas hehe.
I always remember what you like to eat during your birthday and Christmas day, cake he he. I will send you another moist cake in Christmas, but only a virtual cake :giggle: :giggle::giggle:. I am so sure, you will love it despite virtually, he he.

Since I am not into any regular or full time permanent employment, I am not entitled to any bonuses like regular employees. I work at my hourly rate and so earn more money than regular ones for the hours I put in work. But then I don't enjoy other benefits like bonus or paid holidays or salary during vacation time.
Here, most employers pay bonus during Diwali. During Christmas, we receive some gifts and sweets. I receive gifts and sweets for both Diwali and Christmas, but not any bonus.

When I was working for a company, almost every year, my employer gave us Christmas bonuses. In most cases , we were given maybe rice and groundnut oil, and everybody would smile like we won the lottery. But I remembered a year, it was just a complimentary message that was sent to our emails.😂 it didn't sit well with me but I just remembered people that didn't even get their salaries on time, talk less of a bonus. But that little Christmas package is always very encouraging, especially when things are becoming expensive during December .
